It's kind of an unfair fight as Zero is a more advanced robot with stronger armor and weapons. I'm surprised Protoman survived as his armor is weaker than Megaman's, which is why he carries a shield.

This ought to be a canon situation; that after Megaman defeated Wily for the last time, he visits one of his old castles, and happens to find Zero there, left behind after Wily disappeared, and Megaman found himself so grossly outclassed that he had no choice but to flee, and Zero - probably being unfinished, isn't able to pursue him - like we see in this one, that he suffers a, I'm guessing, power failure. Wily takes him away and finishes him in secret, but as with Dr. Light when he built Megaman X, he's too old to carry on and Zero remains in stasis, abandoned until the era of the reploids.

The Timeline states that Wily died at the same time as Zero's creation. I don't know if this qualifies as completition, but either way, this would probably be the last time Megaman went up against Wily.

This doesn't make any sense. Rockman has two Rock Busters. Why can't he use his other one? This isn't a case of X transferring the data between arms. Rockman had two since his construction. X has two after he gets his second arm upgrades and integrates them into his system.
